About Us

Kafademi Scientific Research and Development Cooperative is an academic partnership formed by social scientists working at different universities in Turkey. Our cooperative has a sharing and participatory structure based on joint production, aiming to bring together qualified academic knowledge production with social benefit.

Acting in line with scientific ethics and academic principles, Kafademi carries out studies that contribute to the public sphere as well as the academic world. The projects we develop aim to produce multi-dimensional solutions to many current social issues such as migration, disaster management, energy transformation, volunteering, food security, digitalization and citizen participation.

The research we conduct not only generates data, but also guides decision-makers, strengthens ties with society, and is based on open access and sharing. Our cooperative is based on a culture of consultation, common sense and a vision of sustainability.

Kafademi advocates the publicization of academic knowledge. For this reason, it produces projects that can have an impact at national and international level, and provides training and consultancy services. Aiming to become an international reference institution, Kafademi has adopted the principle of being the carrier of a new academic language.

Kafademi actively participates in multi-partner international projects within the scope of the European Union’s Horizon Europe program and develops social science-based and/or digital solutions in areas such as disaster resilience, climate adaptation, migration management, energy transition and citizen participation. In these projects, in addition to scientific contribution, it produces practical models, policy recommendations and impact analyses.

Kafademi also publishes academic journals as part of its vision to disseminate scientific knowledge production. The cooperative publishes peer-reviewed, open access and international academic journals in different fields of social sciences, aiming to support young researchers, publish original works and increase academic interaction.
